Camcorder fix will probably come after a solution to the OMX codecs that we (may) need.

Did somebody try to update from alpha 1 without clean data?
I did, but I get lots of force close alerts on startup...
Using also link2sd.
What is the exact procedure to update?
Thanks and sorry for the noob question :)

I did. Before installation I had made backup apps with titanium and deleted all apps installed on link2sd. Then I installed update, set up link2sd script and of course started to restore few apps

No probs, just cleaned cache and dalvik cache, works like a charm.
Alao just had to do a quick reboot fo link2sd and everything works fine. I also noticed a slight speed improvement.

Default Updating CM9 when using Link2SD without wiping anything.

We don't need those. Camcorder has already been fixed, it's temporarily out of usage. The hardware has OMX problems, not the software.

Using Link2SD, you need to clear all caches from the app. Then reboot into recovery, install the ROM, install Gapps, then boot. Open Link2SD and menu > more > recreate mount scripts. Reboot.

When it boots, you might get a lot/a few force closes, why? Because the apps cannot find their .dex elements and therefore don't respond on boot. You need to go back into Link2SD, wait a minute, and press menu > more > link dalvik-cache files. Should take a while. When it's done, wait a minute. Reboot. (will take a long time as the .dex files link up again)

Do the same again, open Link2SD, menu > more > link dalvik-cache files. Reboot.
Keep doing this until all of them are linked, or until it says 0.00B linked. Then press menu > more > Relink all Application files, then press Clean up the Second Partition. Then Reboot.

You're done! Enjoy you're new nightly.
