Not to mention the speed that you get from the 4G LTE network, which is a lot faster than the 3G network speeds.

If only Verizon didn't unveil their share everything plan...

I maybe wrong but the share plan are for those who want unlimited text and calling? It wouldn't affect those that don't. I could be wrong though.

I twill affect anyone who signs a new contract or upgrades that currently has unlimited data. No more unlimited data, period; if you sign a contract/upgrade.
Here. This. Now.

I'm lucky enough to be able to use wifi mostly. I mostly average 500mb a month. I'm sure it depends on everyone's situation, especially with wifi hotspot. I don't care for it either getting rid of unlimited data.

What would make my mouth water as far as phones go? Realistically?
The DInc4G with a 4.3" screen, image sense, and good battery life. I'll pay 5-6 hundred for that. Or wait till I can buy a used one for less.

Unfortunately, unlimited data is a feature, not part of your contract, so even if you buy your phone outright, Verizon can/will at some point take it away. I was on the phone for almost an hour with the Northwest Customer service manager, and the way she explained it, Unlimited Data is not part of the contract, it's a feature, so they can revoke it at any time. Your contract is only for the price you pay each month for the phone/text services. It's such a load of BS!!!!
Not sure what ROM I'm running today

Verizon released a statement saying that if you buy your phone outright you can keep unlimited data. I've posted this multiple times while FUD was flying around. http://bits.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/0...ed-data-plans/

Verizon’s e-mailed statement, in full:

Quote:
Customers will not be automatically moved to new shared data plans. If a 3G or 4G smartphone customer is on an unlimited plan now and they do not want to change their plan, they will not have to do so.
– When we introduce our new shared data plans, Unlimited Data will no longer be available to customers when purchasing handsets at discounted pricing.
Customers who purchase phones at full retail price and are on an unlimited smartphone data plan will be able to keep that plan.
– The same pricing and policies will be applied to all 3G and 4GLTE smartphones.

Your absolutely right, but Verizon CAN take it away if they want. I didn't say they would, but the contract you signed isn't about features. Unlimited data is a feature. They have no plans at the moment, but mark my words, those greedy bastards will take it away at some point.

They cannot just take it away. I was once on a family share plan that hadn't been offered in three years and they never said anything until I went in to upgrade my phone. They will only make changes when you renew your contract. Now if they did what cable companies do all the time - just change the price on existing plans - then yes they will "take it away".
