Default A few things

A few questions, or tweaks rather...
  • Is there any way to enable CRT off?
  • How to add custom ringtones/notification tones?

Thanks for your help.

For CRT off, it will have to be enabled through a custom ROM. I don't believe there is a setting for it currently in Sense 4.0 (could be wrong though).

For custom notifications, extract any sounds to the media folder when you plug your phone into your computer.

Here's a pack of 640 Notification sounds / ringtones from OEMs
iPhone 3G > Captivate > Aria > Focus > Atrix 4g > AT&T Galaxy S2 > International Galaxy Note >AT&T Galaxy Note > AT&T One X > HSPA Galaxy Nexus > iPhone 5 > back to the HSPA Galaxy Nexus > AT&T Galaxy S3

Hmm, too bad on the CRT off animation. Thanks for the notification tip.

Also, after you install a 3rd party keyboard (in my case the ICS keyboard) how do you enable it? I dont see anywhere to enable that one and disable the HTC keyboard.

Settings > language / keyboards.

You should be able to enable it there.

(no One X in front of me )

I'll be including it with an advanced power menu in the near future.
It's done by editing the smali in android.policy.jar

When its done, you can just cut and paste it to the /system/framework/ folder and then restart (with fastboot power option turned off of course).

I can see the new keyboard, but I cant seem to activate it... the Sense keyboard still overrides it.

You turn it on then open a text box somewhere. Drop the notification drawer down and select your keyboard
