Maybe it's an insider joke to rename it to zip, I don't know. Just do what I said and it will work. Put the file on your micro sd card. I took mine out of the phone and put it in a card reader to put the file on the root of the card. Then renamed it with IMG as the end instead of zip. Put card back in, hold down volume while hitting the start up button on the top and it goes off to do it's thing. Took about five minutes for the first time and the same for the second time.

It's no insider joke. The default setting for Windows is to hide the extensions for known file types. Your computer hid the .zip file extension and fooled you into naming the file PH98IMG.zip.zip and your update failed because of it.

Second download worked, first attempt didn't work. Pull the battery second time worked.

Had to factory reset to get the phone to communicate with the servers, but It's all good now

I am trying to root the Rom and with no luck with the method I used to root the first time. con247 said he was going to post a rooted version but I couldn't find it if he did. Can someone help me root this? I'm s-off and unlocked still.

PS: I did install the entire package because i was having trouble with 4G working on Scotts Clean Rom

The newest cleanrom is rebased on this. Scott also posted a stock rooted version before I was able to post mine. Therefore, it was pointless to have several floating around.
