Question Is it normal to have a small opening between the camera and removable back panel?

Near the bottom of the camera there is a small opening where I can flex down the removable back panel to touch it.

Is this normal? Do you guys have this as well?

DONATE TO ME
There is a slight gap there, but it is likely there for manufacturing tolerances. They would rather have a very small gap than have it be to small of a hole and be pushed up by the camera.

Setup a Development Environment
Setup and Use the Android SDK
Stock Odin Restore files

You can find the answer to all of your questions right here. If that doesn't work, then try this or this
