switching profiles via QR code printout a QR code (or just cut one out of your newsletter ) and put it anyware
for example in the car on the dashboard to start cardock mode
in the bedroom on the bedside table to activate the flight mode
at home at the entrance door to activate wireless
Switch on Display - Shake your phone - Scan QR Code - Done
if i understood this well, u mean to be like this:
-scan code with camera -> switch profile (group of settings)
example for profile
sleep mode: wifi off, data off, underclock to 800mhz, silent ringer, vibrations off, max volume for alarm.
work mode: wifi on, data off, 1ghz clock, silent ringer, vibrations on.
home: wifi on, data off, 1.4ghz, all volumes to max.
if thats that, then this would change the fkin world.

yepp ,
so far everything of that looks possible i have to extend the profiles of setXperia with wifi/data/volumes and so..
but i have a prob .it seems to be impossible to catch long press menue so im afraid its needed to mod the keylayout
i check that
1. press powerbutton (phone has to be powered on! will not work in standby ! you DONT NEED to unlock your phone.)
2. shake your phone -> barcodescanner comes up
3. scan your QR Code -> setxperia will set the profile
next step is "more options in profiles" like volumes, wifi, data, bluetooth, cardockmode ...... etc.
Attachments-> beta of SetXperia and sample QRCodes (use website generator to generate QRCode with the name of your profiles)
