The "lowest impact" themes at the moment that will change your status bar icons (+notification drawer icons) and leave the rest of the system UI intact are the Circles Mod themes by Hooolm (Circles Mod Blue is likely the lowest impact).

i see that in the original thread of the sense 4.0 theme on htcmania, the volume panel and power options are also themed. I applied the latest version 5/17 but the volume panel still isnt themed. any idea why?

did the creator flash a zip to do that? if so where can i find it?

Most likely your rom needs to update the theme manager, happened to me on AOKP on build 35..build 36 fixed that.

Did you try rebooting? And what rom you on?

Circles Mod blue themes status bar and notification drawer, that's it. There are no status bar only theme chooser themes yet.

Edit: lowest impact would be comparative; you'll have to make compromises unfortunately, make your own theme, or live with icons you don't like.
