No. Not required to degrade to GB.

Advisable to wipe caches and a factory reset though (after backup)

Hello toxicthunder!

Thats hard to do here - lost root too & tried to flash ics through windows odin...now I have ICS without root and without CWM sorry, i want to learn here (learning by doing), but fo this reason I have to ask dumb questions

Wich methods have you tried? ROM toolbox seems to be the best one... plz make a small review after applying, i want to know if the official apps will be usable with small dpi, I use 200 or 240, Im pretty sure touchwiz will be a mess though...

You guys better use odin 1.87

And yiu are making too much trouble for your selfs uss mobile odin select the firmware file and it will automaticly set the locations now goto kernel and reselct the CF root kernel by chainfire and check wipe data then flash... A few minutes and you are on! Fully working with root and everything you need.
