For me all apps show in play store, but the ones I have bought show as if I hadn't bought them, and I can't download them out buy other apps.

### Edit: I presumed the following was the cause of the location problem, but this doesn't actually fix it!

I found the issue with location services! Just a simple typo it turns out.
To fix it, you need to correct the spelling of file com.google.anrdoid.features.vendor.xml in folder
/etc/permissions
Run as root:
mv /etc/permissions/com.google.anrdoid.features.vendor.xml /etc/permissions/com.google.android.features.vendor.xml
The same vendor who was helpful with providing the root method has also provided a link to a firmware and flashing tool here. The server is pretty slow, I will update this post with a mediafire link asap.
Strangely, the host of this file does not actually sell our device, though they do sell other MTK6575 based phones.
Edit: Here is a guide to using the flashing tool. At the bottom of the tutorial is a link to a shared folder which contains a more recent version of the flashing tool than the one in the rar file above. Not sure what the difference is though.
Thanks for sharing richardkemp. Here is my pro mediafire folder Haipai I9220 MTK6575 including: vold.fstab, Mtk6575 USB Driver, latest flashing tool and the firmware that you mentioned above.
Btw, since I am not familiar with flashing a new rom, do we need to backup a current rom before we try to flash this firmware and how are we going to do that ?
The other thing is about the Google Play, when I change to 200dpi, I want to keep it, but GP only shows a few apps. I also tried to use LCD Density Modder Pro to fix, but the GSF couldn't start, so the GP got "server error", what should I do ?
I can't really comment on any negative/unintended effects of that software, you should ask the developer. All i can suggest is try 201dpi: it will look identical but sometimes going just beyond a boundary will make things work.. that is, if you were right at this invisible 'boundary' before. Otherwise perhaps see if there is an acceptable middle ground between dpi and market function.
Personally I'm running 180dpi and haven't noticed any missing market apps. For me the market and gmail only work on wifi, not 3G :(
Yes certainly we need to start generating backups, at least now we have the firmware tools so we have some way to recover from ****ups.

Ok, I see, if so, I should wait then.
Regarding the screen density, I only need to change to 201dpi, then clear GSF and GP cache. Finally, Google Play worked like charm again ! Thanks alot, richardkemp.

The default boot animations on any device, no matter whichmanufacturer, are generally pretty … more
