Question [Q] Is HTC One V -The ""WORST"" Phone in the World?

OK... It's been so many days and I'm thinking to buy HTC One V. One day, I read a nice review and the other day, a bad one. I'M going MAD Now.

HEATING PROBLEM
Is HTC One V on fire when talk on the phone? My sister has Sony Xperia Mini ST15i. This phone also gets a little bit heated up when we use internet for a long time or talk on it for a long time. IS HTC ONE V's PROBLEM EXTRA ORDINARY HEATING???

YELLOW SPOTS
Does EVERY HTC One V has yellow spots on the screen? If one has, would it get replaced???

BROWSER PROBLEM
I know HTC One V's browser isn't so good... BUT Can't we download ANY OTHER BROWSER AND USE IT? Will that be also like the Stock Browser?

PLEASE GUIDE ME IF I SHOULD BUY HTC ONE V. I mostly want a phone for internet, apps and games... But Not JUST for internet, apps and games!

I have this phone more than a week and I have no problem with yellow spots, but this may appear in the future.
I played on the phone for two hours playstation 1 games and I not registered overheating, even though the phone was a bit warmer.
I am using Dolphin HD and internet browsing is very smooth.
Htc One V for me is the best phone I've ever had. User interface is much faster than the HTC Evo 3D and gaming performance is little bit better than the LG optimus 2X.
It's just my feeling, others may say something completely different.

I am quite pleased with my One V and have no desire to return or exchange it. It's a great device. But the haters are going to hate and you can't stop them. Your thread title only eggs them on, unfortunately.

The fire issue?

Yellow spots? It's an adhesive issue that I think we're past now. Haven't heard of any new complaints. And contrary to what Honzac says below, if it doesn't have them, it won't get them.

Bottom line: A great entry-level device running Ice Cream Sandwich!

Since Jelly Bean hasn't even been announced and ICS is still in its infancy, I don't think there is any answer to that question.

Question Will SIM Card and MicroSD Card work if we loose our mobile's back cover?

Some say that after loosing their mobile's back cover, the network is lost forever!! The back cover pushes the SIM Card and MicroSD Card inside at the right place. IS THAT SO?

No. They are primarily held in by friction, but the cover insures that they aren't lost if the phone is jolted or dropped.

The back cover consists of at least three components manufactured in a two-shot molding process:

1. A molded plastic (polycarbonate) frame

2. Antennas and leads for at least WIFI and something else, but I doubt a circuit related to the SIM and SD cards as Saket suggests since their receptacles are soldered directly to the mainboard.

3. An over-molded rubber outer.

The antennas and leads are concealed between the layer of plastic and rubber.

Brilliant stuff. I used to work for a global plastics company and I'm impressed by this little part. Don't loose it because your phone needs it. Without it you'll have to WIFI.

Just buy the phone already. It's a great device!

Don't know about heating problems but I doubt it will heat like Iphone 4S does when it is charging and you play a game on it.

The yellow spots: This is interesting stuff since this issues were signaled only BY users from INDIA(?). I guess it is India! Look at these threads where the Yellow spots are signaled and you'll see that almost all the complaints came from people from India. They maybe got some lot made bad. But don't worry, those yellow spots will disappear if you play with the phone and set the brightness to maximum (basically those spots are the glue, so they will warn out in time).

Browser: Almost every smartphone has stock browsing problems because those browsers are NOT very optimized. Installing Chrome or Opera on HTC One V and it will be smooth as browsing on the computer.
