1) Data connection disappear from status bar when GPS is active with bb5 kernel and even with rcmix3d 12.2 kernel.
2) With bb5 kernel, BT act weird, scanning and don't get nothing, get something but don't pairing. With rcmix3d 12.2 BT is working OK.
3) Some camera freezes with bb5 but working ok with rcmix3d 12.2.

Have you before to flash, installed 4ext recovery? If yes, you can select diferents kernels and other features while flashing.
If not: http://4ext.net/
Donīt forget full wipe
I hope it helps you...
Thanks
Yes I'm using 4ext
I've got a couple of other kernels zips so I'll try a different kernel.
Could someone actually explain the basic differences with the rcmix and pacha's kernels?
I don't get it, is it performance issue, battery life issue or is it just an individual taste...
Currently I'm using bb5-T I think, the non-Sock one I guess...
I've tried both, and see no difference, camera works, bt works, wifi, gps...
And I'm also confused about wiping/formatting, should I use that superwipe flashable zip? I don't have that, so I do it manually, first I do all the wipe options, and then format, basically I go in order, even format sd card ( I make a backup before).
Those are just some things I was never really sure about, and never really asked.
If someone has that superwipe thingy, I would appreciate the link or whatever, is it universal, or is it ROM specific?
And I would really like to know about that daemon controller for OC-ing the CPU, I don't have the app with this rom, with 2.1.3 it was there. Where can I get it?

Sorry for being noobish
thnx
Personaly i use ARHD sperwipe and 4ext recovery. i format all partitions except sd card than manualy wipe dalvik and batt stats afterwords i use arhd superwipe than just to be sure every partition is correctly mounted i use format data (factory reset) then i flash the rom i want. link to superwipe credits to ARHD devs: http://goo.gl/hWSCt
the kernel is most about performance and battery. the one that is most balanced for you is best to use.

Having a good recovery makes the process of modifying, tweaking, maintaining, … more
