Hi Street!

First things first, thank you for the kernel, I have installed it yesterday and I'm using it right now. I have only a cosmetic problem. I restored the original Samsung Boot Animation, but I cannot get sound during the logo show. I only see the original Samsung Animation instead of ROOTED. I changed the ROOTED boot screen because it had no sound, but now I have no sound with Samsung's one neither. I checked the existence of PowerOn.wav, and it is in /etc folder. I have also played it correctly with music player, so the file is in good condition. I tried copying files bootanimation_samsung and bootsound_samsung to /sdcard/streetware but it only restored the original animation. What can I do to restore sound? Does your original ROOTED image contains a sound too?

Thanks!

have a look at /system/etc/, there must be a file called 'PowerOn.wav' with a filesize of 0kb and a file called 'PowerOn.wav.backup' with a size of ~820kb. delete 'PowerOn.wav' and rename 'PowerOn.wav.backup' to 'PowerOn.wav'. if you can't get it to work, i've attached the original 'PowerOn.wav'...
Attached Files
File Type: zip PowerOn.wav.zip - [Click for QR Code] (675.5 KB, 4 views)

hi superb_user!

this is a gingerbread-kernel, so the mmc_cap_erase-bug won't be a problem for us. you can find more information in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1644364
