Default HTC Dev Will Allow EVO 4G LTE to Unlock the Bootloader
According to Android Central, the HTC DEV Unlock will work for our phones.

Hopefully the s-off will come. I went a long time on my Evo 3d without having the s-off.

I would rather root without HTC having anything to do with it, and keep my warranty. Plus from what I understand HTC DEV unlock doesn't allow for custom kernels to be flashed.
