Default Startup Progs

NaI have about 15 programs running in the task manager when I start up. I have about 500mb of memory free. How can I manage my startup programs?

if you rooted or plan to root, get the app called system tuner pro. they have a free version also. in there you can manage what apps load on startup. That app does everything. check it out. too many features to list but its the best out there.
