Just to let the OP know.
There is a mistake in the image link in this line under "Before you turn it on":
- Check if the metal frame around the screen has clean glossy coating, sometimes it comes with very coarse coating, its best tested by looking at reflections, it looks very cheap like this

It is: http://farm8.staticflickrefe.com/707...715be5cd_z.jpg
But should be: http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7076/7...715be5cd_z.jpg

Very few sellers will allow you to break the seal on a product to check it before buying. That said, it's a good guide.

well not if they are aware of the issues

you tell them i want to buy but i know there are QC issues and they usually accept, i tried with the most grumpy ones n managed to convince them

ok i have an update

i've been checking so many devices, including iPhone 4 and Desire HD, they all have this under glass grain visible at angles, guess its perfectly normal

Thanks for this. I just picked up a second HOX and it appears to be flawless.

I just read your thread and apparently I got mine almost a week ago and just noticed some little creaking on the top right corner of the screen when I applied a rubber case. It also happens everytime I press it, however the vI tried figuring out of it mostly occurred when the device is hot or in idle. Could anybody give me sombre abuse if there's is a need to send it back and ask for a replacement?
