I been searching ever since I got my OB and I did not find a rom that works propely in Mexico and that's because all of them (or mostly to be precise) are developed in band base from other countries that are no compatibles with the bands in Mexico, wich causes a lot more trouble than you may think, there are some temporary solutions, like disable 3G, or not using mobile data at all, but then where is the point of owning a smartphone without the smart part, or paying for a 3G phone to use it as a 2G, it makes no sense to me, so my sincere recommendation it's to always go with stock roms. Root it, change the launcher, add apps, mood it any way you want, 'cause so far, there is not a better option!

I've used all the roms here and I've never had a problem with baseband.

Did you use 3G and wifi switching automatically between them? 'Cause I've seen this answers before, and they all ended up admiting to restringe to 2G of not use mobile data

i use CM7 RC2 here in Brazil and it is very stable for me, everything working well.

maybe if you dont use 3G, you can give a try to ICS.

When I'm not using wifi i use 3G, and i have download speeds of ~7MB(min) so I've never had any problem with 3G and I've never used 2G
