I'll give you my review but it'll be a quick basic 1 as I stopped using the phone within a week after getting it. It's now just sitting on my bedroom side but here goes.....

The company itself were amazing, replied to all my questions via phone call or E-mail.
They text me with every step that was taken on the phone so I always knew where my phone was.only downside was that once I received it back, it wasn't as good as expected. Yes the new glass was solid and everything worked but there was a small gap at the top and it really bugged me. To the point I stopped using the phone.
I mean it's bearable if your not worried about the gap, it's not came away from the screen/phone at all.

Ps- if you want to ask any questions about the service, free free but like I said, only downside was the gap at the top. But I was warned I will get that with every company that fixes it.

Are the contacts not saved online? Tell your mate to check his Google account ( log into Gmail then look in the top left corner under contacts)
Let me know If that worked

Well sorry but then I've no idea what you can do. Maybe your friend will learn from that and save his contacts online.
Sorry I couldn't help maybe somebody else can
Good luck
