Can you add flashable zip for your lockscreen Tigger31337 ?
I've tried everything, I can't even get back to old sense 3.0 lockscreen now.I'm stuck with ugly one from CM7.
Really ? -.-
Permissions for those two files are the same as for any other file in /system/app ( rw-r--r--).
That should be all that is necessary.
I just did it here and it worked fine.
Verify you are using an Odex (and not De-Odex) version of your ROM.
Verify it is GB 2.3.5, Sense 2.1-based.
I tried it with Nemus launcher (the one in my WildFire) and with the stock Rosie launcher (HTC default). Both worked fine.
I would also suspect that it would work under Sense 3.0/3.5 ROMs as well. Any ROM that makes a call to HTCLockScreen should be happy with it.
Would anyone else care to try and reproduce Nightshadow's results? I can't.
As for the flash .zip, give me some time and I'll see what I can do. Probably not tonight though, sorry.
big like mate, U did hell of job with this, defo will stay with it !
cheers !
Thanks, j00k.
It's comments like these that keep me going.
Stay tuned for future work by me. I've currently got a VERY tight version of a CM7-based ROM that I'd like to release soon.
It's under 80MB zipped and has tons of free space and RAM out of the box (without requiring S-OFF, Link2SD, funky partitions, etc.)

Okay, a few things:
1) I just did what you're trying to do. It absolutely works.
2) Ensure you are setting the correct permissions for all the APKs you push to /system/app
3) If you grabbed an ODEX version of WildChild, then you'll need ODEX versions of the APKs (that means for EACH APK you push, there is an accompanying .ODEX file)
4) Once everything is pushed and chmod'ed, I suggest rebooting the phone (not a HOT reboot or a FAST reboot, but a full Normal reboot).
That's all that's required to get Google/synch services back.
Of course, you still have the option of downloading WildChild FULL and then all of this will be taken care of for you.
Now, as for the battery life:
1) Are you running with the default settings out of the box? If so, you're probably not on Scary governor with sio scheduler. Please refer to my first post for ideal CPU settings. This, I've found, has the greatest effect on your battery drain.
2) As with any new ROM flash, it wouldn't hurt to fully discharge/charge, and then Wipe Battery Stats in your Recovery mode.
3) There are no less than 8 million (give or take) posts here on XDA forum with tips on how to increase battery life. I suggest taking a quick peek around; maybe one of those tips will apply to you.
4) Personally, I run WildChild on my WFS GSM and the *only* change I made was with Scary/sio CPU settings. I get about 1.5 to 2 full day's usage on a single charge (that's with moderate usage... calls, txts, surfing, streaming, wifi, etc.)

Okay, say s'more about this.
You mean to tell me you can't even get your original lockscreen to work, now? The one that came with your ROM?
No offense, but I think you're doing something wrong.
You should be able to grab your original lockscreen file (or files, if odex'ed), push to /system/app, re-permission, reboot, and you're off to the races.
If you can't get there, then please post your technique in detail. Something doesn't smell right, here.

My mistake, I managed to get original lockscreen working.I forgot to set permissions for .odex file. Now it's woking.
However, your one isn't.I've set permissions correctly for both, .odex and .apk file, rebooted, but I'm on CM7 ugly lockscreen.
As I said, I'm using sense 3.5 rom(I guess that's causing problem?) with android 2.3.5.
