Steps before Trading in old evo/android device

Decided to trade mine in to bestbuy instead of ordering from amazon then selling on ebay.

As i'm going through the backup process (mostly TB and each apps backup settings function), it occurred to me that even if the data is wiped, rom installed from scratch, my number and name is still stored.

So, once everything is wiped, i'll reflash it with a sense rom, then go into the activation settings (##3282#) and change anything that has my name/number in it to something bogus. Then reflash with a non-sense for the actual tradein. This way, should they try to do an ota, it won't take.

Just something to think about.

do ##RTN# (##786#), go to menu, and reset. This will wipe your personal settings so on reboot it tries to do handsfree activation. No need to enter in bogus data.
