DONATE TO ME
Question Wireless Charging

Does anyone know if the HTC EVO 4G LTE (i just like typing all of that) is going to get the PowerMat?

I have it for my HTC EVO 4G, and was about to buy more mats but won't if the new EVO won't have it.

I am assuming they will NOT, because you can't get to the battery..
Phone: HTC EVO 4G LTE
CyanogenMod 10.1 Nightlies

Tablet:
ASUS Transformer Prime Infinity
CyanogenMod 10.1 Nightlies

2nd Tablet (kid):

So because of the the UniBody design I looks like all the antennas are located under the top half removable cover.

Im thinking if i can mod the mother board like the OGEvo and run the cable out and place the coil on the bottom half and just protect it with a body skin like zagg or something.

Then i can use touchstone without it interfering with the NFC or any other of the antennas.

BTW if i could get this to work then i really wouldn't care about it showing thru skin. It would actually boost my Geek ego.

I have visited the future and I can confirm that no, there will be no PowerMat for the E4GL. Unless, of course, my actions change the course of events from this point forward. . . .

I have a OtterBox commuter, and IM taking my touchstone from my of evo, and a Powermat case for the of evo and using the low profile micro USB plug from the power mat , and putting the touchstone under just the plastic of the OtterBox that way I don't really have to open up the evo LTE (wife really doesn't want me to kill the warranty) it was so nice to have the touchstone from the of evo, I think it would be better if HTC would just buy touchstone, or cone up with something similar, there is really no reason this is not a standard for phones, sorry this is one of my biggest complaints about smart phones, from a hardware stand there its no reason that phones don't have this, maybe a patent thing.

Did you have any luck with this? I would love to do something like this for my wife's phone.
