Exclamation [Q] Modem Help

This is my device.

Model: GT-I9100
Android v:4.0.4
Baseband:I9100BULP6
Kernel:3.0.31 -ar ar@ar-Lenovo-B570 #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed May 9 11:16:34 ADT 2012
Build No:3.6
Mod v: Slim ICS 4.0.4

What modem can i get to improve my battery life. Someone can guide me how to do that to? I did find may version of modems but i dont know if mine is the good one.

Thanks for the answers. But something else i do not understand. There is a way to find out what modem i have now?
I am using :

A ROM FROM XDA-DEVELOPERS

On SGS2

This is your modem

Baseband:I9100BULP6. Unlike Kernel and Rom pairings it doesn't matter what rom you're on, what framework you're using (GB or ICS), just flash a modem which you think is best for you.

KE7 was mentioned, and if you follow the links you'll learn that KI4 is another popular one. These modems tend to give consistently best results across a wider geographical area (across the planet ).

I'm on T-mobile in the UK, and although i used to use KI4 previously, I've since move to NELP3, as i find it gives me the best signal strength at both my place of work and home.

Wezi you did explained me what i wanted to hear. Thanks for that. It is really can improve your battery life? Or just better signal or something about that.

It can drastically improve your battery life. If you've always got weak signal for example your 3g is continously between 1 and 0 bars, your phone / modem is continously searching for a signal which causes high battery drain. By contrast if you've got strong signal your modem is happy, and so is your battery!
