I tried that rom with 521 as you said and I hear no difference from cm7. I find it unbelievable that I can't get a good sound quality on a phone (on this phone!) unless I accept to not hear the other party sometimes :S

You could probably have "fixed" the echos with a SU660 Basebands. I suffer from a terrible call quality while using CM and P990 Basebands, too.

As CM7.2 is stable you (or anyone) could submit a bug report to CM including logcat and maybe a recorded soundfile. Ricardo might be able to fix something, I don't know. He could adapt the v20x RIL behaviour LG introduced with GB, but he said before that this would be a hell lot of work - if enough people are having this bug he might reconsider though.

I have the same problem . I wonder who's responsible!

Will 20x RILs fix the problem? I tried before with a stock rom and no difference!

For me on Stock ROMs the combination of a Gingerbread BB + RIL did fix it, yes. And I know several people with the same experience.
But I don't like the stock feeling, I prefer Cyanogenmod builds.

Hey tonyp, can I flash a new baseband from owain´s rom with the driver you posted yesterday or should I use a gingerbread rom? or a gingerbread stock rom?

Your post doesn't make sense.
Owains ROM doesn't include a baseband.

The drivers I modded have nothing to do with a baseband installation, they're for adb.
