Question [Q] Auto switching off Wi-Fi when in standby

Hi! I'm an new owner of an Xperia S, and am really proud of it!

I was just wondering if there's a way to automatically turn off Wi-Fi when the Xperia S is in standby mode. I found that keeping the Wi-Fi on while the screen is off drains the battery quite significantly. I know turning off the Wi-Fi manually is an option, but I always forget to do so.

On my previous phone, the LG Optimus 2X, the Wi-Fi automatically switches off when the phone's screen is off in about 5 minutes.

Are there specific kernels for the Xperia S which supports this?

Thanks in advance!

Lightbulb option available in wi-fi settings

go to settings/wireless & networks/wi-fi settings now tap on menu (right end capacitive button) then click on Advanced/wi-fi sleep policy there you find options
1.when screen turns off
2.never when plugged in
3.never

i think you should go for option 1
