Huawei Germany did publish an official release of ICS 4.0.3 at their website huaweidevices-dot-de for the Mediapad.

could you check if Finnish language is included

@mrpn900: If "Suomi" is the correct entry for Finnish, then yes, it is included.
I attached 3 screenshots showing all the included languages. I hope it helps other users with the same question about their language, too.

thank's a lot! General version did not include Suomi, so I have to reflash with the German version.

What are changes between this and HUAWEI MediaPad FIRMWARE(S7-301u,android4.0,C232B002,General Channel) ?

I don't think there was a changelog published, but the main difference is the "Channel" -> while the C232 Versions are for "general channel" i.e. the international version of the ROM, this ROM is C167 "German Channel" - probably some settings are included for german SIMcards / WiFi Channels? (Please correct me if I'm wrong)
Before I flashed this ROM I was on HUAWEI_S7-301u_FIRMWARE_android4.0_C232B002_General_Channel_ 05010YBX-root - the main difference I noticed during the last 3 days of usage was better batterylife. While on the old ROM (C232) I had a batterydrain of 1% per hour in standby, this ROM (C167) is really good in that regard. Around 1% batterydrain during 10 hours of Standby is more than acceptable, imho.

does the Huawei cloud storage work with this version? It does not work with the general version for me. Only way to get to the storage now is desktop

got the pad from one m8 saturday, rooted, with ICS 4.0.3 gen. chan....
Don't care about SIM and 3g, won't use it (couch, surfin'...), but is this rom rooted, as some from main Huawei site? Will I loose root flashing it?

Huawei cloud apps are not included in the German Channel release.

There is a pre-rooted version uploaded by Comec (all credit to him) in the German android-hilfe.de MediaPad subforum:

Changes to the rom: rooted, SuperUser.apk, init.d support, support for German keyboard layout for external devices.

Use at your own risk! Works as normal dload update. MediaPad will be reset to factory defaults. Save your app-data.
