Default [Q] Newbie, need to root to gingerbread

Hi,

I have build number 2.32.651.2 and software number 2.32.651.2 (Hope i'm giving the right details.)

I want (Need!) to root the phone to gingerbread as I know it's possiblem but the forums are a bit overhelming so I was hoping someone here can point me to an easy way on doing it. (I don't know how to to "command line" etc.)
I already rooted the phone by the you tube guide by " jhverdream"
But when trying to use the old version of "rom manager" and do the "flash clockwormod recovery" and software will tell me that "an error occured..." and won't go on...

Please help me - my other phone was lost and I want to use this old phone but have to root it to gingerbread as I understand that it will work much faster and smoother with it.
Please help with the best way to solve the rom manager problem or with a really easy way to update the phone to the best rom.

many thanks!!!

Default Ok, I still have a problem

I managed to root the phone - i have the superuser icon etc.

The problem is: When trying the flash_image recover - no matter if it's the clockworkmod or amonRa, it says "flash not found" (or something like that) - no matter if i'm on the computer ADB screen (CMD) or on the phone emulator...

What can it be?Is it because of the 2.32.651.2 cl282911 vesion I have?

Please help!

Try looking for ROM Manager on the market. You should be able to flash to CWM from there.
