microphone not working

Hi guys just got my tablet but the microphone is working at all. The voice search doesnt work, no sound with the built in sound recorder app and no sound on recorded videos. I have tried a factory restore and cold boot with no sucess.

Anyone else had this problem or got any advise?

I am not much help, I fear. I just tested voice search and the sound recorder and they work ok. 32 gig Tf300T with the .29 update, rooted.

Did you add any aps that might use/control the mic? I find no controls other than the basic output volume sliders and none for mic volume.

I haven't installed anything other than a couple of games.

Probably need to swap it out. I see so many bugs in these things haha asus puts out a product and 1 in 3 come right back
