Launchers

There are a few different threads about specific launchers and such but I was wondering, What is the best launcher like statistically and performance wise? I use GO Launcher mainly because it has a decent selection of themes and I like go lockers 4 key theme which allows me the choice of just jumping to any of 3 apps or just unlocking the screen. I see alot of ROMS using ADW, one with 360 and some with stock Touchwiz. Does it really matter at all to your performance or is it just personal preference? I think I heard something about memory leaks if you have a bad launcher?

there is actual performance differences between all the launchers some launchers work better then others (though don't know where the full data on all of them are though)
