Why do we need to go to the ICS rumors thread to talk about a GB update for our phone?

+1 this needs its own thread. But you will find all the info you need up to this point in the ICS thread.

I always use odin, so I wouldn't know. I suggest you familiarize yourself with it

Previous threads about the update were solely about how it's not ICS, which is why they were locked.

If this thread is simply going to be about the update itself then it's fine but if it descends into ICS-related discussion, it'll end up locked as well.

Readers digest version:

I started with rooted stock.
I pushed the MD5 tar file posted in the ICS thread via Odin successfully.
I lost root.
I re-rooted successfully via the Odin method (push CWM to phone via Odin, then flash superuser)
