Thanks for this. I tried it on my One S and I can definitely see some improvement. It's absolutely retarded this whole refresh thing though. Is there any way to tweak it beyond ultimate? I usually am running an average of about 5 or so apps and it's really annoying when the refreshing starts. From my observations, Chrome seems to be first in line to start refreshing... even games refresh. When all this refresh is going on I still have over 180 MB's free.

What's really annoying is that once the refreshes start.. it seems to be like a plague. I had about 6 apps open a while ago (Gmail, Browser, Chrome, Google Reader, Play Store, Settings) then I started noticing refreshes... so I only left the Chrome, Google Reader and Play open, and every now and then Chrome and Reader kept refreshing.. and occasionally Play. This just by switching between them.

Are there other things I need to bear in mind to get my apps being killed less? Is 150 MB free RAM ok or is that pushing the device too much or what?

How does HTC's Task Manager fit into all this? Should we disable it or let it automatically load on startup? Does the task manager clean up memory when apps are no longer used or is just there to indicated available memory?

It's just there so you can manually task manage so to speak, it will have no impact with the script

Thanks, I thought that maybe it closes unused tasks by itself, helping to improve multitasking which I guess is done by the OS itself? If it's only purpose is to see which apps are running and to close them manually if wanted, then it will certainly not improve multitasking.

The script doesn't execute for me either, even though init.d works. Tested this by using EZInit.D's dummy file.

Decided to use MinFree Manager and adopt the numbers from multitaskingxtreme. So far so good.

The values are at the first page: 1536,2048,3584,5120,8704,10240

Turning this values in MinFreeManager would be 6mb, 8mb, 14mb, 20mb, 34mb, 40mb
