[Q] Car dock automation?

I've seen that Sprint has a car dock specific to the EVO 4g LTE.

Does this phone know when it's on the car dock? Like how the Atrix used magnets to activate the car dock screen, does the EVO 4G LTE have something similar?

Yes, it's called NFC.

You can buy NFC tags to do this.

You shoudn't need nfc for this. I'm pretty sure that the phone will know when you connect it to the car dock, and will open up "Car Home" or whatever they call it automatically, as long you set it to do that.
