Default SN already registered on "NEW" TF300

I bought a "NEW" tf300 Amazon. There was no static screen protector like i expected, but didn't notice any finger prints... the box was in a sealed plastic, but it was kinda a bad job....some seams were not connected...... so i register my TF for warranty purposes and found out the SN had already been registered?

Anyone seen this before? I have a ticket open with asus.

I will update when i hear back from ASUS

Asus will probably take a couple of days to answer. Send an e-mail to amazon and see what they say.

Wow, kinda crazy. GL with that, and keep us updated.

Rly interested in what Asus has to say, but it might be more of an Amazon issue.

Not that this is the core of your issue, but the tabs come wrapped in a thin plastic wrap that has a map of the ports, connector, etc on it. I did not have any other type of screen protector come on it.

Good info, but it is creepy that his serial number was already registered!

If that is the case, then whomever he purchased it from just got it returned and sold it again as new. Very illegal to do without stating it as a refurbished unit.

I should have clarified that this was not amazon but a certified reseller from amazon with tons of positive feedback. Like a 4.8 out of 5.

Anyways they were more then happy to replace with a new one! I am paying for the shipping back. I know they really should, I will give them a chance to make right! There customer service has been great and very responsive.

After talking with them, it looks like they get them from another supplier, and then sell them, I'm guessing they didn't know it was used... if the next one I get is not "brand spanking new" I will get amazon involved!! I'll give an update the end of next week, when I receive it. They should get the return by Tuesday!
