Yup, i'm just trying to follow the OP's instructions step by step slowly, tried to do a little research first to not end up with a brick, so i just stopped to ask this, instead of trying to go forward

i have the #, i believe that represents root privileges, i typed in su the line before, then the dd line after the #, then i got the error.

This blows... I sold my AT&T HOX the other day since I didn't think the bootloader would be unlocked for awhile. =( FML

I'll get this phone again once AOKP or CM9 is stable on the HOX. HOX build quality + AOKP = dream set up.

I got it too time to go pay up at the bounty page...

Did you root the phone before this via the one click method

Worked flawlessly and instructions were super easy. Thanks x 100...I only had about 10 days left before my 30 days would be up and it was going to be returned on "D-Day"!!

Thanks to OP's awesome instructions, my first Android phone ever is officially unlocked. I wavered back and forth on whether or not I wanted to risk it, since I've been known to make stupid mistakes and was terrified of bricking this amazing device...but I sucked it up!

I also wanted to add after successfully unlocking it, the phone was in fact reset. But the modifications I made to my hardware key mappings persisted.

I ran the one click recovery for CWR and one click root and no problems thus far.

i am seeing where it has the line cws__....but it is on 20a not 210..i am on the stock firmware...has anyone else seen it on this line and edited it and been ok?
