We really should have moderator who is active here, and who is well known.

Having moderator who visits this forum only when someone pm him is like not having any.

I really would volunteer but I would probably have to step down by September because I give more priority to my education.. unlike some in this thread.

Can a forum community really vote in their own mod when the site says they aren't accepting new mods? Though I agree that we desperately need one. I'm really tired of reading questions in the dev section.

There is a nice feature that XDA has had for its lifetime... it's called the Report button. It's that brown triangle with an exclamation mark through it on the right hand side of the post. If you see an issue, report it. It will draw the attention of the Mod for the forum as well as Senior Moderators.

We moderators do this for free - simply because we love XDA. Most of us have real lives (some have fake lives) as well as jobs and/or school. We can't be on here every minute of every living day. We need users to help us at times - and you can do that by reporting. Otherwise, you have no reason to complain.

Actually the main reason this thread was made that the main moderator of the forum doesnt even looks at the forum,even though he is on XDA everyday......

What jerdog is saying is that if you see an off-topic or otherwise off-color post, simply report the post by clicking the button and it will bring the post to the mod's attention and he'll deal with it. He can't patrol each thread for new posts every day--nobody can. This is a group effort and our part is to click the report button.
