Thumbs up [A] USB Mass Storage for Mac
This took me a bit to figure out, so I thought I would share.

Download 'Android File Transfer' for mac (I can't post the link since I'm a noob, google it.)

Launch Android File Transfer, Connect your phone via USB and choose 'Media Sync'

viola! There are your files.
