Question [Q] Playback and mediacenter capability

Hi all! I'm thinking about switching to sgs3, and as for now my only doubt I wasn't able to solve is this:

looks like the sgs3 should be able to handle videos of all resolution up to 1080p mkvs (or am I wrong?).. but can't find someone who tried it with an actual ~15gb mkv, or the now quite diffused h10p (less mb same quality, it seems).
So, how far will I be able to go with this new device? (both with the default player or mx/dice)

And, about the connectivity.. does usb otg and hdmi out are both on the same port?
In other words I'll be forced to use dlna for streaming the file from my pc to the i9300 (and connect to the tv via hdmi) or to stream the video to the tv using the new accessory (when connecting an hard disk via usb), or there will be a way to use both the cable connections?

Sorry both for the confusing question and the bad english and thanks!

I don't have a h10p file around, so I can't test that.

About the HDMI out: Yes, HDMI out and OTG both use the USB port. You have to choose one.

Thanks for your feedback!

As for hi10 files the issue may be the compression, not at all the size, so a sample video should be enough for a test..

The single connection may be a problem.. mainly for the battery!

That file does not work.

Samsung Video Player: audio only
MX (HW mode): audio only
MX (SW mode): audio + video, video stutters, watching is not enjoyable

I tested a 720p file too: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...9#post26662169
