Overclock Frequency :
Quote:
TI OMAP 4430 1GHz Stock , Overclock -> 1.06GHz; 1.12GHz; 1.18GHz; 1.24GHz => ( 1GHz on boot ) ;
TI OMAP 4430 1.2GHz Stock, Overclock -> 1.26GHz; 1.32GHz; 1.38GHz; 1.44GHz => ( 1.2GHz on boot ) ;
TI OMAP 4460 1.5GHz Stock, Overclock -> 1.56GHz; 1.62GHz; 1.68GHz; 1.74GHz => ( 1.5GHz on boot ) ;
While the Governor hotplug has the ability to disable one core when not needed, the other Governor has no ability to turn it back !!! I implemented in this Rom something to turn this core on ! To activate the second core, you need the following steps : - open No-frills CPU Control :
- choose the desired Governor ( but not hotplug ) !
- choose the desired frequency , but not overclocked ! ( when the device will boot - will open with the selected frequency , so please choose max. frequency = your max. stock frequency )
- check "Apply on boot"
- check "Applay"
- check allow if superuser asked permission
- reboot your device !
- Now , both core are available in your selected Governor ( other than hotplug ! ).
( you can check this in Quadrant Standard -> System information : you will see - Cores: 2 / Cores available to Java: 2 )

Bootanimation
Do not overclok your device for long periods of time ! Overclocking , especially on boot may damage your device !
If you have some problem with touchscreen , please go to Settings -> Repair & formatting -> Touch screen calibration !
zImage test 3 :
- improve overclock in OMAP4430 -> now seem to be stable all oc frequency ! Now, the max. overclock frequency work well and will NOT underclocked your device !!! ( wait some test with OMAP4430 stock 1GHz & 1.2GHz )
- for OMAP4460 - enable 1.6GHz ;
Screensave : TI OMAP4430, stock 1.2GHz :
Overcloked to 1.4GHz : Overclocked to 1.35GHz
The Test 3 zImage - seems to be the best overclock kernel ( until now ) - Only for OMAP4430 !!! So, please flash this kernel if you want a stable and fast overclock kernel ! The Test 9 zImage - seems to be the best overclock kernel ( until now ) -> TI OMAP4460 & TI OMAP4430 !!! So, please flash this kernel if you want a stable and fast overclock kernel !
UPDATE 18/06/2012 :
OC = 1.4GHz; The new max. entry => 2684 for TI OMAP4430 on 1.4GHz !!!! Test 8 zImage - now seem to be enable more freq. in OMAP4460 !!! zImage =>http://www.2shared.com/file/fkdwHlh4/zImage.html
downloading as we speak....... will leave feedback asap..... thanks surdu!!!
Hi ! Thanks !
I don't know if GPS was fixed in this version....Normally, gps was not changed- it's the same with the original firmware 4.0.6 test4 ! ...should be work well !!! - for me it's work nice , I never had problems with gps sattelite !

I'll give it a go.....it would be nice if it worked but if it wont then i have other devices that will do the job...... it just would be nice to get most things/requirements into one device....

Surdu, just want to make it clear on step about choosing frequency. On the initial boot, i will choose the default Frequency (which is 1Ghz for my g9) then after that, i will reboot it then choose the max frequency that i want to use. Am i correct? thanks!

Hi !
Yes , good !!! but attention ...allways when you choose overclock max. frequency , do not check " Apply On Boot" !!!
Thanks for the reply.. on last question, what is the reason why can't we apply on boot for the Overclocked max frequency?
Hi!
- choose the desired frequency , but not overclocked ! ( when will boot - will open with the selected frequency , so please choose max. frequency = your max. stock frequency )
- if your device has stock max. freq. = 1.2 GHZ , when you choose "applay on boot" the max. overclock freq. = 1.44GHz , than the device will boot with this frequency ( or the device may not boot )
Forcing a hazardous on boot is not recommended , can damage the device in a manner irreparable !!!
