DONATE TO ME
Talking [DEV][Unicorn]Android Open Kang Project 4.0.4 by V6ser(Build 40)

*First things*
Hi there people, I think that just a small part o you know I was working on it for no more no less than 3 months...

This is an AOKP port, a community-developed Android ROM based on Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.4 Open Source, for the Samsung Galaxy 5 I5500 (Europa) phone.

Newest change logs are available at the AOKP site

Make sure you're on the latest CWM
MAKE A NANDROID
wipe data/factory reset in recovery
flash ROM
flash Gapps(and make sure it's the latest one)
reboot

Alpha 0.1 of Build 40 :

http://j.gs/198s

Donating you are helping me to repair my Galaxy 5(that's actually broken), posts and feedback also encourage me to continue my work.

Changelog for latest version(build 37) Alpha test 0.3:

Telephony/Data working(note that ppl can't hear your voice and this will be fixed)

Wireless

Camera

No more touch problems, thx to OuNao

USB Storage

3d/2d update

Lockscreen unlocking(even if small and strange)You can config this on ROM Control

Check out the ROM source on github . Open source, in the spirit of community kangage.

If you'd like to help with AOKP, please don't hesitate to contact me.
If I helped you hit thanks

Detailed Status:
  • Battery performance is better
  • Sensors are working
  • Telephony && Data
  • 2D and 3D acceleration
  • Touchscreen
  • Audio
  • GPS
  • JIT
  • Wireless
Not Working|TODO:

  • Bluetooth prevents deep sleep - do not leave enabled when you have no need to use it
  • Camera & video recorder
  • USB & Wifi Tethering - you may be able to use third-party replacements
  • FM Radio - no CM9 radio app yet exists, but Spirit FM may work
  • Video acceleration - video decoders will use software rendering, which uses more battery, and is too slow for HQ video playback.

NOTE: Lockscreen is an AOKP problem.

But all the rest is probably solved

For people who know how to unlock screen by HW keys or unlock without actually as normal unlock,
this version also includes first camera test. Please try it out

Downloading for test.
I´ve been using psyke´s cm9, but I find it very slow and unstable. Let´s see how this one does.

A special thanks to the developer for keeping our "little phone that could" updated

So, I tested this version yesterday, and unfortunately it didn´t work for me. I got stuck on the unlock screen, on slide-to-unlock. It wouldn´t unlock, no matter what I tried. Re-installed and same thing happened.
Did this happen to anyone else?
