how can I get a transparent background for settings app ? I tried to make a transparent png for background_holo_light/dark, but no success

How about a noob-friendly way to make the status bar transparent?
HTC FANBOY

Current Toy: Nexus S 4G
Previous Toy: HTC Evo 4G
Current ROM: CM10 ohh so so so so so stable.
Kernel: It's up in the Air.!

I just found this thread today and I've been working on some of my own personal theming mods to my phone, but this taught me a few new cool tricks. This is a great guide and I just wanted to say thank you for posting this!
