i think thats the easiest way to root is that if you have rooted 562 then do the OTA (over the air) then you will keep root also

I have a locked bootloader and am new to android.
I've just upgraded from 2.3.4 to 4.0.4 via sony update service.
Please tell me how to root my device (Xperia Arc) using the file in the post.

Worked for me. I had a lot of errors after flashing the old kernel btw. But after rooting with the one click program I flashed back the new kernal.sin and loader.sin and now I don't get any errors anymore. I removed all bloatware and ads using root ^^

did u make the packege to flash the just the stock 4.0.4 arc kernal back because i ran into lots of problems leaving the 4.0.3 kernal on the arc every time i rooted 1 m8

yes, but i can't upload it because i have a problem with the internet conection
now i'm tethering form my Arc s, so the upload speed is really bad
i will upload it as soon as i can
