cannot enter fastboot mode

When I push power and volDown and wait for 5 seconds, I should be seeing a usb icon, according to the instructions. But I only see a Wipe Data and a Android button. Does anybody know how to enter fastboot mode?

I believe you have to unlock it first. The download is at ASUS website. Once it is unlocked you should see the USB option.

Unlocking does not work on .29

Ik tried to unlock from .29 without success
So first I downgraded to .17 using WW/DE blob via http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1645029
Then I unlocked AND rooted via http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1668173

Now I'm unlocked and rooted, but on .17. Next question... How to get .29 without loosing my work? The OTA tells me there is no upgrade available.
