Default Fixed AcerRing (portrait & landscape view)

hi all,

just fixed AcerRing.apk..

flash via recovery or push AcerRing.apk from archive to /system/app..

!!work only if u got AcerRing before - won't work on stock firmware!!

Doubt it unless you have cwm or twrp or are rooted. Even then I think civato said there's a lot involved getting it running. This is meant for roms that already have the ring.

Hmmm I wonder if that would work on a aosp rom... I wouldn't think so but next time I use cm9 I'll give it a try.

i think it won't, cause something is in the framework for sure)

That's what I was thinking too but never hurts to try something new. The buid.prop. Changes suggest there's more to it then just slipping in the apk and adding some lines.

And proper signing, if not you will get a lot of FC on apps.

I running flexreeper(civato, thx man), will this change the mods I have installed for my acer ring? Thanks


Edit: it worked and didn't change any mods to ring

When I attempt to change the settings on the Acer Ring, it gives the message, "Unfortunately Settings has stopped working" and goes back to the home screen. Will this patch fix that issue as well?
I wanted to find out before I sued a tool to flash it to the tablet. Thanks for your assistance!
