What is .sense?
dotsense is a HTC Sense 3.5 ROM created by benjamingwynn, originally made for the HTC Wildfire S but is now universal over many other HTC devices. Oh yeah it also has a super awesome sexy AROMA installer.

I already have Sense?
HTC gave us a "value pack" Sense 3.0, it looked like Sense 3.0 but it was really wasn't. On .sense we bring you the real full featured Sense 3.5 to your HTC ChaCha.

NOTICE
.sense for HTC ChaCha is still under development and it is under alpha status. Do not use this ROM for daily use, just test out the current build and then please post your issues or bugs on this thread.

Issues

• No WiFi - I'm working on it.
• Calling direct force close- working and not working. Sometimes the first call you take you will get a force close and then you should be ok.
• All lockscreens in landscape - If you want to port over the HTC ChaCha lockscreen then be my guest. I will add it in to this ROM if you do.
  • Home Launcher does not fit - It does the job for now. Install a third party launcher if you want.
  • Widgets does not show on Rosie Launcher - this is because of the grid size issue.
  • Quick Lookup - Force Close
  • Keyboard backlight does not light up - FIXED IN NEXT RELEASE
    
    Once all of these issues have been sorted out we will merge with the Official .sense.

Installation instructions
0. Make sure you have custom recovery installed.
1. Copy or download .sense onto your phone
2. Enter HBOOT by removing the battery, reinserting it, pressing and holding the down power key and Volume Down for 2 seconds at the same time.
3. Click recovery using the volume up and down keys for moving and power for select
4. Backup everything in recovery (backup and restore -> backup)
6. Delete everything, this won't erase your music, photos or videos on your SD Card. (wipe data/factory reset)
5. Install it (choose zip from SD card)
6. Set up .sense using the on screen instructions and recommend options above.
7. Reboot and setup .sense!

Whats with the huge ass download?
I can't help the size of this ROM because during the installer you can pick what you want in the ROM, so extra files need to be in place for you to do this. If you really need a lite download then contact me and I shall create a lite package.
Why do I have to post to download ?
This allows me to become more social with my downloaders.

• Fixed keyboard issue.
• Removed a few apps from Installer.
• Calling direct works. I noticed when the call is in portrait mode the phone call will force close. However if you call again the call will stay in landscape and won't force close. Report back please.
• Updated Goo Manager, Go Launcher EX and Google Music.
• Behind the scenes work.
• Removed Terminal Emulator due to force close. Install from Google Play if you really need it.
• Some other stuff which I can't remember right now.

At the current moment we would love if you could port any HTC ChaCha stock items such as lockscreens, launchers and so on.

The new sense looks quite fine in comparison with v2. Finally HTC managed to design something looking stylish.

Don't know how much it counts/matters though; was reading through the sources. Keep up the good work!

EDIT: same on line 67 and it might be some others as well.

EDIT2: afaik the screen is set to portrait by default in android.cpp (not positive about it though).

Every second FC com.android.htc.latin or something like this. The CHACHA keyboard process crashes but keys still write.

Can't see in the launcher, widgets, icons and other things
