Did you check your order status online with the confirmation number from the email? Did it reflect the june 26 ship date? I ordered at7:55 am day 1

So someone stole my debit card number and my bank froze the card. Now I am screwed. Verizon can't "figure out a way" to change the billed card for pre-orders of iconic phones. I was told I can cancel and re-order as they are "all shipping the 9th" (which their site clearly states otherwise), or I can wait until the shipment billing fails, then call the number in the email I receive. However, I spoke to several different Verizon reps and I get told different things. Some claim my order will fail outright.

Time to leave Verizon.

What is the problem with canceling and re-ordering? You're still well within the pre-ordering period.

Some of it was poor timing... It came out in the same period as the Nexus and the RAZR. It isn't as of a sleek device as either of those, and HTC/VZW have drug their feet in getting an official ICS with source out there. It's not difficult to get s-off, but you do have to do the wire trick which isn't as easy as the one-click methods some other devices had.

So what you have is just modifications of stock roms for the most part. Until they have a working kernel no AOSP based ROMs. There's some decent ROMs out there, but not what I've been used to with both the Incredible and Gnex.

There's nothing that guarantees that the S III is going to be better, but the excitement around this device is very high, so I expect that there will be a lot of support out there. If I can get CM9 or AOKP on it I'll be happy as a clam. If not, well I like TW + Apex better than Sense or sense + Apex.

I ordered on the 8th and I see the same thing. Thinking about calling later though to see if I can get a shipping date from a rep.
