I preordered mine this morning in Pebble Blue (16GB), and I'm happy to report that I was able to keep my unlimited data plan. No surprises to speak of. I received my order confirmation via email a few moments later. Expected delivery said "by 7/9/2012" when I was browsing, but the order confirmation email I received says "ship by 06/06/2012". I'm assuming that is a mistake, but I guess we'll see what happens.

The damages came to $188.99 out the door, including VA sales tax and my $50 RE2 discount. I just checked my AmEx, and it looks like they authorized my AmEx for $1. I suspect they will charge me in full when it ships. Can't wait!!

Count me In. This will be my first ever non - htc android phone. Im so excited.

ordered mine! 32GB White. had no issues with Chrome.

I've had issues with VZW site and chrome as well. They don't play nicely together lol.

I feel like I should just get an iphone a.d sell it and buy it out pf contract. I really don't trust Verizon.

I ordered online and the option for unlimited was pre-selected. I believe I had the option to choose 2GB though for the same price.

Ordered! Blue 16gb, unlimited data! Now waiting...

JUST got off the phone with a CSR.
Kind of a long story but here goes:
A couple weeks ago, I logged in to my account online and saw that I was somehow eligible for an upgrade even though I wasn't at 2 years yet with my current phone, the Fascinate. Then, a few days ago I wandered into a Verizon store and the guy there told me specifically that Verizon would not ever be getting the Galaxy S III, so I walked out with a Nexus. Got the thing home and by the next day I hated it. A ton of issues, not really the point here, so anyway, I returned it and the next day I saw an article about the official announcement of the Galaxy SIII's. I called the support line (*611) and asked the lady (Kelly, she was AWESOME) if I could have my upgrade discount back specifically for this phone and she said it might not show up, but she'll note my account.

This morning I logged in to do the pre-order and it showed that I'd have to pay full price. I called up the support, got a different person, but I WAS ABLE to have them apply the new-every-two type discount to my account and just pre-ordered this awesome piece of hardware for $199 (the 16GB model, in blue). It took a while for her to apply the discount, probably because the server load is most likely quite high, but she stayed with me on the phone as I went through the pre-order process. At no time did this person say "Iconic device" or whatever the catchphrase now seems to be. As a matter of fact, this lady didn't know anything about this phone. Kelly, the first woman I spoke with, actually was going to order one, too.
Can't wait for this!

I also got to keep my unlimited data plan through the pre-order process. There are a couple places during the process that make it clear what you've got available to you. There's also a large portion of legal-ese near the end, that I didn't read, but I'm guessing there could potentially be something in there about switching your data at whim or making you into a human centiPede or whatever.

Oh, another thing! The lady that got my discount back this morning also told me that the release date was July 9th, in case that's still not confirmed.
