Per Sprint's press release a few days ago.

Just came back from pre-ordering at Best Buy. They confirmed that they won't be getting the 32GB at launch...for Sprint. They will be carrying the 32GB for Verizon. Oh well... It wasn't meant to be.

Probably old news, but if you live in California, you can shun the sales tax on $599 by ordering online through Sprint. This won't work with telesales, or brick and mortar stores.

Pre-ordered mine the first day it was offered on Sprint's website.

Apple is finally accepting defeat and is resorting to other means to stay on top. Shame on Apple.

it's my understanding that porting from the international version to the US versions is fairly simple. and the only difference in the US versions is (for the most part) the radios. so one rom for all US versions

Ats right and if you call and pretend that you want to order by phone, complain about activation fee, threaten to go to Verizon and you can get a credit to compensate from the retentions dept.

I am also childishly impatient for this phone's arrival. I'm thinking, though, that Sprint saying they'll try to "get it to you before others see it on June 21st" really would mean they'll get it to you on the 21st, hopefully before too late in the day.

Does anyone have previous experience with pre-ordering and getting it earlier than the official launch day? I'm trying not to get hopes high for an earlier arrival... though I'll still be querying my order status hourly.
