I believe uboot is Universal Bootloader used to boot linux based systems and totally depends on who built it as to what goes into it.
but as its what boots device and tells it what to do i reacon it must.But as always i am not 100% but as most drivers are static and do not need to change the uboot will need to contain various drivers for optical use and display as devices morph the firmware needs to suit different devices with differentiated optics and screens etc

Hi it may be just my network but my device is constantly roaming is this normal as i can not seem to turn it off?

Has the same R on top of my gsm networks, when i start wireless the R goes away.
I am sure that i have disabled all possible options with roaming, also "data connection" icon on top of the display i checked and is disabled, still the R is showing when wireless is off.
I think it must be abug in the software
I have set option "always ask when roaming is active" to OFF otherwise i get the message always when i want to make a call or send sms

Hi mate I have that as well, I am on Virgin I have asked them if it is a problem and say no they enable roaming Their end so device can use strongest network, ie switch to T mobile, orange, or Virgin.
No cost to roam in UK, will only cost out of UK using foreign network..

Hi. I have no audio when recording video or using sound recorder. Any ideas anyone? I do have audio when playing movies etc just nothing I have recorded.
Mic is on in all settings in camera

Hi Sas007, i just tested it, i got sound on soundrecorder
i also test Main camera and recorded a movie with sound, no problem.

What very weird is on the camera that all bright or reflecting objects (like gslass, tft screen) have fluor colours and are not good displayed. When recording these bright objects they all have fluor rainbow colors

1. Driver Install

1a.Remove the Battery from the phone and connect to your PC with the USB cable.
1b. Your computer should then try and locate the drivers for the device, you may have to direct your PC to the drivers which are located in: 1. Driver Install

2. Flash Firmware to Phone
Phone must be disconnected with the battery removed before proceeding:

2a. Run flash_tool.exe located in 2. Flash Tool
2b. click Scatter-loading, then locate the file MT6575_Android_scatter_emmc.txt located in 3. NOTE Firmware or 3. PAD Firmware (depending on your model of phone, check under the battery)

2c. Press "Download" on flash tool.
2b. Connect the phone to your PC with the USB cable. (battery must be removed)
2e. flash tool should now flash the phone, once complete unplug the phone.




4. Advanced - Firmware Driver Update

If the Display has issues (scrambled or very dark) then you need to change the Display Driver which is flashed to your phone.

4a. Run SPMultiPortFlashDownloadProject.exe located in 4. Firmware Driver Update
4b. Click scatter file and then locate the file MT6575_Android_scatter_emmc.txt located in 3. NOTE Firmware or 3. PAD Firmware (depending on your model of phone, check under the battery)

4c. click the box marked: ??????? then click Unlock.
4d. Click bottom drop down box then select an alternative display driver.


NOTE Driver: RX_50NT_401B
PAD Driver: RX_50RM_401A
PAD Driver: RX_50RM_365A

4e. exit SPMulti software
4f. re-flash the modified firmware as in step 2.


Note: if you have problems with your front or rear camera, you can also try loading different drivers for those which are the first and second drop down boxes.

I have installed the NOTE firmware and installation went without any problem, everything is working except for the main camera. So i flashed uboot from august 2 and main camera is still not working, so i can conclude that
1 uboot do need other files which are inserted in the total firmware to work
2 PAD and NOTE firmware are not much different form each other

Now i am looking for (latest) NOTE firmware where i can select for main camera: ov5647_raw

Please flash with this http://munix.es/n9000/20120802_e1809...ov5647_CWM.zip it will work the camera driver needed for my i9220 n9000 pad is ov5647_raw hi704_yuv RX_50NT_415B you still have not flashed the correct firmware...stop messing with uboots etc and flash this..it also contains the custom recovery and ALL the correct drivers from load so do not alter drivers in MDT
