Both having this error when installing new free apps, no problems with updating apps or purchasing apps,
Seems many different phone brands/models are having this error,

Got notifications for incoming gmails,

If before said method doesn't work, as it didn't for me unfortunately, try this method:

wow i've been having this problem for a couple of hours now. looked everywhere and tried everything. none of them worked. so i got to thinking i just loaded a backup so maybe its not the store so i rebooted into recovery went into advanced and clicked fix permissions. voila it worked. so if nothing else works try that

Both said methods did not work. I still get the error. Anything else I can try?

Update: after doing both methods above and then clearing data for the Google Play Store, the error message went away.
