You do realize that the seller on eBay is NOT unlocking your bootloader.... right? HE is unlocking your phones SIM so that you can use another carriers sim card with it. Then again though, as I am CDMA with an unlocked bootloader I have read that, correct me if I am wrong, that by unlokcing the bootlaoder it also unloks the SIM restrictions as well. I do not know if this is the case with this seller. He may just simply be unlokcing the SIM card restriction.
Quoted from the eBay sellers listing:
"Unlocking a phone is primarily done to allow the user to use the phone with a carrier other than the contracted carrier . By unlocking your phone a user could theoretically use it with any carrier that you choose.
Reseting the user code means reseting the phones user code that is preventing the user from accesing the phone's content to 0000."
Notice I marked where the confusion arises. Perhaps someone should email this seller and ask him if he is just unlock SIM card or the whole shebang....
EDIT: I have emailed the seller. Will report back if/when I hear anything
BAM!!
