Default SuperSU vs Superuser

Which one is better for our phones? Are there particular ROMs which run better with one or the other?

All I know is that Superuser development has been put on halt while SuperSU development is still going.

Newt's latest uses SuperSU too, I personally don't Iike it, regular Superuser is more stable to me.

My biggest issue with SuperSU is that its different. I resist change!
Motorola Droid Maxx DE || Stock 4.4.4 || Stock Kernel

Motorola XT926 || Carbon || arrrghhh Kernel ||
HTC Rezound || CM 10.1 || Funky Kernel ||
HTC Droid Incredible || CM 10.1 ||

Its more universal, I prefer it over super user because of that and the fact that the pop up actually matches my blue theme unlike the green super user
Its all about preference

I prefer the good old Superuser over the SuperSU app.
One reason is that it seems more reliable. The other reason I prefer it is because I purchased Superuser Elite for the PIN security and backup/restore options, and it doesn't transfer over to SuperSU.
My Devices:
Nexus 7 - Android 4.4.2 [CarbonROM]
Rezound - Android 4.4.2 [CM11]

MOTOACTV - Android 2.3.4 [ReACTV AOSP]

Perfer SuperSU because I haven't seen chainfire release a broken update yet. Every time chainsdd releases a Superuser update, he spends the next few days trying to release fixes it for all of the phone he broke with the update.

Like most people, I prefer not to change.

I keep my rezound very close to stock.
S-off, htcdev unlocked, stock hboot, stock recovery, stock operating system, and rooted.
If not expecting an OTA maybe flash a custom recovery.

Those of you who ROM, use whichever one your Rom includes. For me, I needed to install one or the other Su zip file myself.

Well with HTC ics, the latest version of SuperUser would not work.

So my choice was to use an old version of SuperUser, or try the newer SuperSU.

So, I used the latest SuperSU zip file and flashed it using a custom recovery like TWRP.

It works ok.
