Default Skinomi Screen Protector

Does the skinomi screen protector interfere with the proximity sensor?

From what I understand, they are redesigning the protector to have a hole for the proximity sensor. I'm using one right now on both my phone and the wifes and there's no issue with the proximity sensor.

However, both are covered in microbubbles after almost 2 weeks of installation. Skinomi is shipping out new ones for me. Really disappointed.
